SWIMMING POOL
Located in the heart of the neighborhood, the HVNA swimming pool features a four lane lap pool, diving board, baby pool, volley ball net, charcoal barbecues, shaded ramadas and picnic tables.
CITY PARK
Our park is maintained by the City of Tucson and features a multipurpose field, walking path, little library, drinking fountains, three picnic tables, shaded playground structure, and is adjacent to a 20-30 club.
COMMUNITY GARDEN
Our garden is part of the Community Gardens of Tucson. We welcome new gardeners to join! Fees include the use of tools located in the garden shed, water, which is on a timer, and helpful gardening tips. Plot fees are $18/month. Water Harvesting Project
Water from surrounding streets is drained into the southern end of Highland Vista Park in a project conceived by neighbors who noticed stormwater was pooling in the area. City Parks & Recreation developed a system in 2008 to harvest the runoff, then planted the area with native and drought tolerant trees and shrubs, a walking path and shady wooded rest area were added
UPDATING THE SYSTEM, July 2021
The voter approved Prop 407 Parks and Connections Bond includd approximately $50,000 for improvements to Highland Vista Park. They include upgrading the water harvesting basin at the south end of the park, reconstruction of the existing perimeter walking path and planting of additional trees and shrubs around the area.
